While filming Asking for it, Eamon was based in Brooklyn, where he had gained experience working as an actor, scriptwriter, production assistant, and ghostwriter.

Eamon initiated activism when he fought against the lack of diversity in the Hollywood industry when he aired native American and LGBTQ female characters in his film. O’Rourke’s fight for diversity was to ensure that he tells the story of said communities in the most faithful and earnest representations on the screen for the world to see.

Aside from the filming industry Eamon O’Rourke is passionate about reproductive justice, economic equality, the NYC drug problem, and immigrant rights. He volunteers at NYC venues where he aids drug addicts to recover and improve their conditions by passing out free Narcan kits to recognized outlets. He also volunteers in legal aid as he educates vulnerable communities in acquiring the legal services needed. Eamon O’Rourke is an activist who participates in protests to help susceptible communities be heard, such as the demonstration of Black lives matter and the Abortion Rights Movement.
